Hearthstone now available on iPhone and Android smartphones

Blizzard’s Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft is now available on iPhone and Android smartphones.

You can now take your Hearthstone game with you wherever you go as the game is available across all iOS devices and even all Android tablets and phones too.

Blizzard has redesigned the interface for the smaller screens, making the UI and your deck more easily accessible.

For example, there have been a couple of main changes to the iPhone and Android smartphone UI of Hearthstone.

The interface shows your hand of cards at the bottom of the screen as it does on tablet, but only the top half of each card is visible.

So, when you want to take a proper look at your cards, you can tap your hand to get a zoomed-in version. To see a single-card in full screen, just hold down to read all the details.

It may be an extra step compared to the tablet and desktop versions, but it is definitely a great way of presenting Hearthstone on a smaller screen.

For those of you who perhaps haven’t experience Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft on iPad, Android tablets or even PC, this is a combat strategy card game.

Similar to Magic: The Gathering, Hearthstone requires you to build your deck and play against either AI or real online opponents to see who wins.

You can play the full game on your smartphone and if you do so you’ll actually be rewarded for your efforts with a free pack.

If you do want the full Hearthstone experience, you can also download the first Naxxramas and second Blackrock Mountain expansions as well. You will need to pay £15 and £17 respectively for each of those adventures though.
