HBO’s Wonderful Shows Hit iTunes UK

Get your Sopranos fix now...

It took until June for films to hit iTunes UK but now television content on the service has taken a major step forward.

Following the May US deal, the world’s best drama channel HBO (yes BBC we still love you, but we’re talking solely drama here so back off) has finally agreed with Apple to bring its shows to our shores.

The Sopranos, Sex and the City, The Wire, Rome and Entourage will all be available from day one with episodes costing a fairly reasonable £1.89 a piece. On the downside wonderful series like Deadwood, Six Feet Under, In Treatment and even the slightly pretentious Carnivale are all left on the shelf at this stage and only Sex and the City offers more than a single complete season so if you’re looking to find individual missed episodes your chances are pretty hit and miss.

That said, ”it’s a start” and our HBO affections mean we will give the channel a little more time to offer up its full and remarkable repertoire. And when I say “a little more time” I mean like 48 hours ”or else”…

I mean how will Paul treat Amy and Jake and what will Kate make of it all
