Halo: The Master Chief Collection Xbox One X update is here and it’s absolutely massive
Microsoft has finally released the long-awaited Xbox One X update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
After almost four years since its rocky launch, the new patch for Master Chief’s collection of adventures is arguably its biggest yet.
Every single title in the package has now been enhanced for Xbox One X to operate at 4K Ultra HD with additional HDR support.
It all runs at 60fps, too, although that was in place before this update. This remains the best place to play Halo, and now it’s even better if you can stomach the download size.

However, the price of running the Master Chief Collection at 4K comes at a cost, and that is an update weighing in at 73GB.
It’s worth noting that this update implements far more than visual improvements. 343 Industries has detailed menu changes, matchmaking improvements and more over on Halo Waypoint.

Microsoft has confirmed that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be launching as part of Xbox Game Pass from September 1, 2018, so it’ll be yours for the price of a membership.
