Parts of the GTA 5 storyline have been teased by the game’s M for Mature ESRB rating.
Rockstar will be including a lot of nudity, sex, drugs and rock and roll in GTA 5 if the game’s ESRB rating is anything to go by.
Spotted by Kotaku, the ESRB rating states the game will include the genitalia of “male cult members”, necrophilia and the use of narcotics.
Following the lead set by Red Dead Redemption and its grave robbing character, Seth, it seems Rockstar will include a bit of necrophilia in GTA 5.
“Within the game, TV programs and radio ads contain instances of mature humour: myriad sex jokes; depictions of raw sewage and feces on a worker’s body; a brief instance of necrophilia (no nudity is depicted),” reads the ESRB rating.
Players will also be able to get their hands on some drugs in GTA 5, potentially outside of missions too.
We aren’t that surprised by the inclusion of drugs in Rockstar’s upcoming game, especially as the GTA 5 wallpapers released to celebrate Independence Day showcased Michael’s son Jimmy surrounded by fast food and bongs.
More disturbingly for some, the ESRB rating suggests GTA 5 will feature Quick Time Events (QTE) during extended cut scenes.
“In one sequence, players are directed to use various instruments and means to extract information from a character; the sequence is intense and prolonged, and it involves some player interaction (i.e., responding to on-screen prompts).”
The torture scene described sounds like a key moment in the game, but it saddens us that Rockstar Games may have had to resort to QTEs to keep players engaged.
It does sound like the cast of GTA 5 will be a little more varied, controversial and erotic than GTA 4.
“Nudity is present, however, primarily in two settings: a topless lap dance in a strip club and a location that includes male cult members with exposed genitalia in a non-sexual context.”
