Grid 2 Mono Edition pre-order costs £125,000, comes with own 170mph sportscar

Grid 2 has set a record for the most expensive game pre-order of all time, with a £125,000 Grid 2: Mono Edition release coming with its own 170mph BAC Mono Supercar.

Taking gaming to all new realms of realism, the Grid 2 pre-order, which is open now, sees the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC bound title land alongside a 285bhp sports car in Grid 2 livery, as well as all the extras including a made to measure race suit.

Capable of hitting 60mph in just 2.8 seconds, the Grid 2 branded BAC Mono is a road legal racing car, with a carbon fibre chassis and a 2.3 litre, 285bhp engine running the show.

Lining up alongside a PS3 compatible copy of the Grid 2 game and a PS3 console, the £125,000 pre-order bundle sees eager gamers turn wannabe racing drivers also offered a day at the BAC factory and a custom Grid 2 themed Bell Racing helmet.

“BAC is immensely proud and excited at the release of GRID 2: Mono Edition; a game which offers an opportunity for one lucky person to own a truly unique supercar,” said Neill Briggs, Project Director, BAC Mono. “Codemasters has developed a stunning game which focuses on delivering the ultimate driving experience and Mono is the ultimate expression of this, in both the real and virtual worlds.”

With a Grid 2 release date set for May 31, the Grid 2: Mono Edition pre-order page is live now via the Game website.
