Gran Turismo 6 concept video shows off new cars and tracks

A Gran Turismo 6 concept video has hit the web just days after the game’s formal unveiling, showing off a selection of cars and tracks set to hit the racing sim.

Officially showcased at Silverstone race circuit in the UK last week, Gran Turismo 6 will touch down later this year as the next instalment to the iconic GT racing franchise, with the newly unveiled concept video offering an insight into what gamers can expect.

Showing off a selection of vehicles, tracks and gameplay, all built around detailed conceptual footage, the new Gran Turismo 6 video features racing at Silverstone, showing how true to life the world renowned British race track is within the game.

Featuring a wide array of cars, the concept footage only scratches the surface of the 1,2000 Gran Turismo 6 cars set to appear in the final release, with 33 different tracks set to be further enhanced by an all new customisable course maker.

With a Gran Turismo 6 release date set for the weeks leading up to the 2013 Christmas period, Sony has confirmed that a Gran Turismo 6 PS4 release is still ‘under consideration’.

Speaking following the game’s formal unveiling, Gran Turismo mastermind and series creator Kazunori Yamauchi stated: “We actually do have a PlayStation 4 version in mind, but for this holiday season, we thought it would be best for users to release on PS3 for now.”
