GoPro video editing mobile app coming this summer

GoPro is readying up a new mobile app that will let users edit footage using their smartphones, according to the company’s president.
The app will allow users to trim videos and share clips, although no other details were revealed about the software capabilities.
“GoPro president Tony Bates today revealed the company is on the verge of launching a new mobile app,” reports TechCrunch.
It continues: “
It’s currently unnecessarily difficult for users to take long sections of footage and condense it into a minute-ish montage.
Fortunately, GoPro’s app will mean users won’t need to turn to third-parties to edit their footage and share to social media.
The report claims Bates also made reference to GoPro ‘pursuing’ an in-house cloud service, which was recently revealed to be in alpha testing.
This cloud service will allow users to offload video from their cameras seamlessly to other devices. Such functionality would combine well with a mobile app.
