Google tipped to launch Spotify Chromecast support at Nexus event

Spotify might be the market leader for music streaming, but it’s always been shunned by Google Chromecast.
Fortunately for Spotify and Chromecast users, Google is expected to finally bring the pair together later this month.
According to 9to5Google, leaked internal documents reveal that Spotify support is definitely coming to Chromecast.

Chromecast already supports a number of streaming services, including Netflix, Pandora, Plex, Rdio, and Google Play Music.
However, it seems Google is now more open to allowing direct competitors to join the Chromecast ecosystem.

The announcement is tipped to be made at a launch event later this month, at which we’re expecting to see two new Nexus phones unveiled.
The handsets in question are an LG-built Nexus 5 and a Huawei-built Nexus 6.
