A Google employee has shown off some of the notifications we’ll be receiving once the first Android Wear smartwatch hits the market.
Android Wear is Google’s carefully moulded smartwatch software platform, designed to help you interact with your smartphone and receive Google Now information from your wrist.
Now Google employee Timothy Jordan has shared some of the company’s favourite new Android Wear notifications.
One notification shows how your Nest thermostat might warn you of smoke at your office, as well as providing the all clear when it’s gone. Another shows the form those useful/immensely irritating gaming notifications might take on an Android Wear smartwatch.
We also see how calendar notifications are shaping up, and what it will be like to pause and skip music tracks (complete with background album art) from the comfort of your wrist.
All in all, it’s looking to be a very clean and uncluttered interface, which we’ve come to expect from Google.
We shouldn’t have too much longer to wait to see these notifications in action. The first Android Wear-powered smartwatch, the LG G Watch, is heading for a Q2 release, which means we should see it by the end of June.
Meanwhile the Motorola 360 – arguably an even more exciting proposition with its distinctive circular design – was recently tipped for a July launch.
