Independence Day: Save $40 on Google Play Music with free 4-month trial

It’s Independence Day, which means you can expect to see plenty of fireworks, Jeff Goldblum, and wallet-coddling discounts.

Google is offering a four-month Google Play Music trial for US users subscribing to the service for the first time. The music streaming service offers up an impressive library of 35 million songs, but this usually costs $9.99 per month. That means you’re saving nearly $40 by bagging the deal.

If you sign up to the trial, you’ll also gain access to YouTube Red. That’s Google’s ad-free YouTube service, which comes bundled with original content and offline YouTube playback for mobile devices.

Unfortunately, this deal is only available for US users. But on the bright side, UK users can pick up a nearly-as-good trial that lasts three months instead.
