Google Nexus 7 16GB Back in Stock

The Google Nexus 7 has been a bit of a smash hit for Google. So much so, in fact, that demand for the 16GB model took Google by surprise, forcing the company to withdrawn it from sale earlier in July.

Now the top-of-the-range Nexus 7 is back in stock over on the Google Play Store. Don’t worry – it’s going for the same ridiculously low £199 price.

We’re big fans of the Google Nexus 7 in either flavour (it also comes in a £159 8GB model). Considering how low those prices are you get an awful lot of tablet for the money.

We don’t mean that literally, of course. Far from it – the Nexus 7 is one of the most compact and lightest tablets around, while its 7-inch display  means you can hold it comfortably in one hand.

It’s not left wanting for power either, with a quad-core Tegra 3 processor making HD video and 3D games fly.

Nexus Back

All this is topped off by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the latest and buttery smoothiest version of Android yet. It’s been tweaked for the Nexus 7 to boot, so your media content is pushed front and centre.

Who need the Amazon Kindle Fire in the UK when you’ve got the Google Nexus 7? We’ll tell you who: no one. Especially now that you can actually buy the thing.

We’d recommend snapping the Google Nexus 7 up soon, and not just because it’s proving a little popular. For a limited time, you’ll also get £15 of credit to spend on the Play store, alongside some free content.

Admittedly one of those freebies is Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which is a little like offering someone a free punch in the face. But hey, at least it’s good for showing off the Google Nexus 7’s HD screen.
