Confirming the incoming arrival of additional Google Nexus 4 stock, the search giant turn smartphone behemoth has revealed that Google Nexus 4 UK sales will resume at 5pm this evening, offering eager customers another chance to snap up the high-end quad-core handset at its wallet friendly SIM-free price tag.
Making the announcement via an official email to those who had registered interest in the Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5 rival, the new stock marks the first time Google Nexus 4 UK sales have been made available through the Google Play Store since launch day stock sold out in just 30 minutes.
“Nexus 4 will be available for purchase later today,” a Google spokesperson announced via the widespread email. “Order yours from Google Play starting today, December 4 at 5:00 p.m. GMT.”
Severely undercutting the deals laid out by network providers and third-party retailers, the Google Play Store has set budget appeasing Google Nexus 4 price tags with the 8GB edition setting wannabe owners back just £239 whilst the 16GB model lining up at £279.
Google Nexus 4 Features
Despite its low-end price point the Google Nexus 4 specs are some of the strongest on the smartphone market with a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor running the show alongside the revised Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS which the handset helped launch.
Elsewhere, a 4.7-inch WXGA IPS display features with a stunning 1280 x 768p resolution and 320ppi image density whilst a Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating adds protection against everyday knocks, drops and scrapes. With 2GB of RAM thrown into the mix, a 2,100mAH Lithium polymer battery keeps things running as an 8-megapixel rear-mounted camera lines up on the 9.1mm thick, 139g in weight device alongside a second, 1.3-megapixel forward-facing snapper.
