Google has announced its Cast streaming technology is now built into a new version of the Chrome web browser.
Until now users have needed to download an official extension to stream to the Chromecast or Chromecast Audio dongles along with other pieces of Cast-enabled hardware.
Now, those with Chrome 51 will be able to do so within the browser without the need for an add-on.

“Today we’re happy to announce that Google Cast is now built fully into Chrome, and anyone can now Cast without having to install or configure anything,” the company announced in a blog post.
For webpages that are not integrated with Cast, users will still be able to beam to their screen by selecting Cast from the Chrome menu, as seen below.
Google claims Cast is becoming an integral part of the Chrome experience with 38 million sessions and 50 million hours streamed during the last month.
Now users can do it without installing an extension.
