Google has announced it is bringing new notifications for Android users, which will inform them of Google account sign-ins on other devices.
The native notifications, which will roll out over the next couple of weeks, will ask users: “Did you just sign in?” and give them the opportunity to review the account activity with a single tap.
If the activity appears to be suspicious, users will be able to review the browser, time, IP address and location information.

Google says it has added the feature as users are four times more likely to act upon push notifications than emails, which it already sends.
In a post on the Google App Updates blog, the company wrote: “Now users are quickly notified on multiple devices when a new device has been added.
“This increases transparency to the user of what actions they’ve performed and allows them to flag any suspicious activity they may be seeing on the device. We’ve also found that with Android notifications, users are up to four times as likely to review the information as compared to email notifications.”
