Google Glass now brings Android notifications to your eye line

Google has just launched Notification Sync for Glass, giving users quick access to smartphone alerts.

The announcement came late last night via Google Plus, with the search engine giant revealing that the service would go live on Wednesday.

“Today we’re launching Notification Sync on Glass, which means you can see your Android phone app notifications at a glance,” read the post.

Now when you put Glass on, you can get the information you need when you need it – all without taking your phone out of your pocket.

To make use of the new feature, you’ll need to install the latest Glass update, namely MyGlass v3.3.0.

Once that’s done, you can pair your device to Glass and head into the settings where you’ll find a new option to turn on ‘Notification sync.’

The alerts should ping across to your Glass just as quickly as they arrive on your Android smartphone, in much the same fashion as Android Wear’s notification system.

Google announced availability of Glass for the UK back in June, although the smart specs don’t come cheap – it’s £1000 a pair.

For existing Glass Explorers, the search engine giant has released a video explaining how to set up the new Notification Sync feature that you’ll find below.
