Google finally launches its best VR app for iOS
Google has always been really good about rolling its best apps out to iOS; in some cases before they even land on Android.
However, Google’s best app for VR content creation has been been an Android exclusive for quite some time.
That all changes today as Cardboard Camera, which makes it easy to take 360 degree images complete with sound, is now available for iPhone.
“VR photos taken with Cardboard Camera are three-dimensional panoramas that can transport you right back to the moment,” Google writes in a blog post.

The process of capturing a VR photos is more akin to shooting a video on the phone. Users must hold the phone vertically and then simply turn around as if they’re taking a panorama photo. The resulting images can then be viewed with a Google Cardboard VR headset.
Google is also boosting the ability to share these images on both Android and iOS.
Users can create their own virtual photo album and easily post to friends and family via emails, messages or by posting them on the web.
Google says 5 million ‘moments’ have already been captured on Android.
