Gone Home is finally coming to PS4 & Xbox One in 2016
Gone Home is coming to PS4 and Xbox One on January 12, developer Fullbright has announced.
It’s been a long time coming, but critically acclaimed “walking simulator” Gone Home is coming to consoles.
The PS4 and Xbox One versions will launch on January 12, 2016, along with a few neat additions.
Gone Home was originally coming to consoles via publisher Midnight City, but plans were put on indefinite hold when the company shut down earlier in 2015.
But now the release is going ahead, and developer Fullbright Company has included 90 minutes of developer commentary that can be listened to in-game.

This particular release will run on Unity 5, instead of the Unity 4 engine used in the original PC version.
“Ever since Gone Home came out we’ve wanted to be able to bring it to people who maybe aren’t PC gamers, or don’t have a good enough computer, or who just want to play in their living room, maybe to share the experience with a friend or loved one from the comfort of their couch.” said Fulbright founder Steve Gaynor in a blog post.
“Our goal wasn’t to add or change things, but just to bring the game that players know and love onto consoles in the best possible form we could.”
Gone Home received critical acclaim upon its release thanks to its ambitious storytelling, unique characters and atmospheric setting.
If you enjoyed Life is Strange or Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture; Gone Home is definitely worth a go.
