Globe-Trotter Fujifilm X-Pro1 Case, A Snip at £5,695

We’re forever struggling to find the right bag for all our tech but Fujifilm and British luxury luggage manufacturer Globe-Trotter may just have answered our prayers. Or maybe not…

The two companies have collaborated on a new, super-exclusive, travel case for the Fujifilm X-Pro1, the camera company’s new super-high-end, 10/10, compact system camera. Only 12 of the new cases are to be made and, as well as being exclusively available at Harrods, each will cost an eye-watering £5,695.

Globe-Trotter Fujifilm X-Pro1 Case

Thankfully there’s some sense to this pricing with each case containing a Fujifilm X-Pro1 (itself costing £1,429 for just the body), three lenses (18mm, 35mm and 60mm), a flash and filter. The case itself is made from vulcanised fibreboard with a tan leather trim, brass rivets and locks and a black felt covered inside. To finish off the package, each case also comes with an embossed leather ‘Harrods Exclusively’ tag and brass plaque. They are of course hand-made but not just any old hand-made, they’re actually crafted using original Victorian machinery at the Globe-Trotter factory in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire.

All in all, it’s safe to say we want one. Anyone feeling generous?…
