Attention, PC gamers! There’s an incredible GPU deal over at Ebuyer that you can’t afford to miss.
Ebuyer has knocked an incredible £190 off the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Ti Extreme Classic Edition GPU, bringing the price down from its original R.R.P £489.99 to just £299.99. Bear in mind that the R.R.P doesn’t reflect actual pricing, mind – the real saving is probably closer to £50-100.
The high-end GPU features 6GB of GDDR5 memory, a 384-bit memory bus, a digital max resolution of 4,096 x 2,160 pixels, and support for DirectX 12 and OpenGL 4.4. A beloved card from Nvidia’s previous generation of GPUs, the GeForce GTX 980 Ti is a seriously powerful graphics processor that can handle seriously demanding gaming.
What we said
We haven’t reviewed the Gigabyte version of this GPU, but we reviewed Nvidia’s own GeForce GTX 980 Ti. It scored 9/10 at its review price of £550, and was praised for its fantastic and consistent 4K performance, value pricing, and reasonably cool operation. Here’s our verdict:
“If you’re searching for a new 4K gaming card then the GTX 980 Ti won’t disappoint. It has Titan X levels of performance but it’s hundreds of pounds cheap – so what’s not to like?”
What owners said
On Amazon, this GPU has a 4.6/5 score based on 450 user reviews. Users wrote:
“Better than expected, every game on ultra, and it runs super quiet and cool.”
“Overall an excellent device from Gigabyte. One I can thoroughly recommend.”
“It runs like a dream. I’ve been going for nothing less than max settings on the handful of games I’ve tested it with at 1080p and getting mostly 60fps.”

How good a deal is this?
So is this deal any good? Yes, as our Computing Editor Michael Passingham explains:
“This deal is decent, if not a no-brainer. The GTX 980 Ti is a powerful GPU capable of smooth 4K gaming with the latest games. It’s a last-generation card that’s been superceded by the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070, but that card costs around between £50 and £100 more depending on the manufacturer. If you’re after a GPU bargain right now, it’s a good deal.”
