Looking for a new tablet? Well, before you go breaking the bank, you might consider checking out this generous offer from Amazon.

The online retailer already offers discounts on refurbed versions of its Fire HD tablets, but now it’s gone and taken even more off the price of a refurbished Fire HD 7 slate.

Although the tablet has been around for a little while, there’s no doubt it’s a great device, coming with a quad-core processor offering speeds of up to 1.5 GHz and an Android OS.

There’s also a 7-inch HD display with a decent 1,280 x 800 resolution, offering impressive HD images, if not the Full HD resolution of higher-end tablets.

And while the 8GB storage isn’t all that great, the Fire HD is designed for streaming content, especially if you’re Prime customer as the tablet comes with the Prime Video app installed.

What’s more, the stereo speakers can hit a respectable volume level, thanks to the built-in Dolby audio.

If you’re worried about the refurbishing part, Amazon explains: “A certified refurbished Kindle, Fire tablet or Fire TV is a pre-owned device that has been refurbished and tested to look and work like new. The device is then certified and given a new 1-year warranty.”

Not too bad, really. So if you’re looking to pick up a new tablet, but you’re not up for dropping a ridiculous amount on an iPad Pro, or Surface Pro with all the fancy extras, give this deal a go.
