Garmin Approach S2 GPS golf watch announced

Garmin has revealed the Garmin Approach S2 GPS golf watch with 30,000 international golf courses preloaded available without charge or subscription.

Ready to use direct from the box, golfers can utilise the measurement features of the Garmin Approach S2 for a more informed round of golf.

“The Approach S2 is the perfect companion for the recreational golfer,” Martin Resch, EMEA Product Manager at Garmin said. “With over 30,000 courses across the world ready to play out of the box matched with the comprehensive measurement features and its intuitive user interface, this device will instantly give golfers a competitive edge.”

Garmin Approach S2 GPS Features
The Garmin Approach S2 GPS is capable of measuring individual shot distances and the yardage to the back, front and middle of the green. In an attempt to help users improve their handicap and better understand the course they are playing, the Garmin Approach S2 GPS also provides layup and dogleg distances on its display.

As soon as you switch on the Garmin Approach S2 GPS, the watch will detect which golf course you are playing so you don’t have to waste precious tee time imputing data. What’s more, the wrist-worn gadget will also keep track of your game with its on-board digital scorecard, which also allows you to save your game results to be viewed and analysed on your computer.

Weighing in at just 52g, the Garmin Approach S2 GPS will not throw off your swing, with the device also playing host to 10 metre waterproofing features to ensure it remains protected even if you’re caught in the traditional British weather. Garmin’s latest golf watch also provides an odometer for golfers to keep pace with how far they’ve walked.

Garmin Approach S2 GPS Price and Release Date
The Garmin Approach S2 GPS release date has been confirmed for March, with the golfing gadget to be made available in three different colour options. A Garmin Approach S2 GPS price tag has been set at £209.
