Gareth Bale revealed as cover star of PES EURO 2016

Konami has confirmed Gareth Bale as the official cover star of PES EURO 2016, who will also act as a pre-order incentive for the game.

Wales and Real Madrid player Gareth Bale confirmed the announced in a recent tweet:

“Proud to be on the front of PES Euro 2016 game. Can’t wait for the tourney to get under way, COME ON WALES”

The announcement was accompanied by an image of what we assume is the game’s box art.

Bale will also feature in future promotional materials for the game, which will be available physically on 21 April for PS4 and PS3.

“Gareth Bale is one of the hottest properties in world football, so we are delighted that he is the face of our UEFA EURO 2016 content for PES 2016,” said Erik Bladinieres, European Brand Director of Football for Konami Digital Entertainment.

“His skill and ability make him the perfect fit for a game that will showcase the capabilities of Europe’s greatest national sides. He will be integral to Wales during the competition, and we are delighted that he will be gracing the packaging and in-game content of our UEFA EURO 2016 content.”

PES 2016 owners on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC will receive the UEFA EURO 2016 content as a free update on March 24.
