Microsoft has announced the games that Xbox Live subscribers will be able to download free as part of the Games With Gold offering for August 2018.
Via the magic of Backward Compatibility, the company is delving into the archives and serving up some classics this time around, with four games available at various points in August.
First up is Forza Horizon 2 (Standard) 10th Anniversary Edition, which will be available on Xbox One from August 1 to August 31. The game offers 200 cars, exotic locations, online multiplayer and racing in a number of different conditions. This game earned a perfect score from Trusted Reviews upon its original launch.

Next up is For Honor (Standard Edition), the epic battle simulator featuring the innovative Art of Battle combat system. This will also be an Xbox One offering from August 16 to September 15.
We gave the title an 8/10 score upon release in 2017 calling it a “real surprise” for its top-notch gameplay mechanics and excellent visuals.
Xbox Live subscribers will also be able to nab Dead Space 3, which is coming to both Xbox 360 and Xbox One from August 1 to August 31.
In our original review of the space-based shooter. Stuart Andrews wrote: “Do buy Dead Space 3 if you’re happy with a rollercoaster thrill ride with plenty of action, a great weapons system and excellent co-op play. We’re not 100% in love with the series’ new direction, but that doesn’t mean we don’t love playing the game.”
Finally, both platforms will be able to access Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two. That’ll be available to download from August 16 to September 15. As always, as long as your Live subscription remains active gamers will have access to these titles.
