Galaxy Z Flip Thom Browne Edition is for dedicated followers of fashion

After its shock reveal during the Oscars on Sunday, we’re even more excited to get up close and personal with the Galaxy Z Flip during tomorrow’s Unpacked event.

However, judging by a new leak on Monday, there’ll be an even fancier edition of the luxury foldable handset on show during Samsung’s flagship launch soiree. On top of that slick clip that aired during the annual celebration of all things Hollywood, a second promotional video for Thom Browne-branded premium edition of the Galaxy Z Flip.

Thom Browne is a noted New York fashion designer, meaning this version of the handset is likely to cost well in excess of the rumoured $1,400 price tag for the ‘standard’ edition of the Galaxy Fold follow-up.

Prominent leakster @WalkingCat posted the two-minute promotional video to Twitter on ‘Monday, revealing what’s likely to be the phone’s tagline: “Change the shape of the future”.

Judging by the clip, it appears the Thom Browne edition will launch as a boxset alongside a similarly-styled version of a Samsung smartwatch (likely the Galaxy Watch Active 2, but hard to tell) and the Galaxy Buds+, which are also likely to be revealed during tomorrow’s Unpacked event.

You can see the very arty promotional video (via Android Central), likely to be played at Unpacked, below:

The Galaxy Z Flip promises to steal the thunder of the Galaxy S20 range of smartphones, with its flexible clamshell design and large OLED display. However, beyond that display, the specs are unlikely to be quite as high-end as the S20 Ultra 5G. All will be revealed during Samsung’s Unpacked event, which kicks off in New York, at 7pm UK time.
