Unlike iPhone X, the Galaxy S9 will probably have a headphone jack
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S9 – and Galaxy S9 Plus – will ship with a complex camera setup, a new AKG-made headset and a traditional headphone jack, according to reliable Weibo tipster Ice Universe.
The tipster has reason to believe that the firm’s introduced a Broad Anti-Reflection (BBAR) coating on the Galaxy S9, similar to the one found on the award-winning Galaxy Note 8, to prevent shutter glare from occurring.
What’s strange, however, is that most smartphones, including the iPhone X, come equipped with the technology – which is based on the anti-glare layer opticians apply to prescription glasses – so it’s hardly a notable addition.

Ice Universe also revealed that Samsung-owned AKG is working a new set of earphones to bundle with the Galaxy S9 – and there’s a (good) chance they’ll tout Bluetooth connectivity to rival Apple’s EarPods.
Galaxy S9 will feature a headphone jack
Don’t panic, though: there’s no evidence suggesting that Samsung is looking to axe the beloved 3.5mm headphone jack anytime soon, so expect to see one on board the Galaxy S9 – and, of course, the Galaxy Note 9.
A lot of rumours have been making the rounds in recent weeks, claiming that the Galaxy S9 will ship with a 5.8-inch edge-to-edge Infinity Display, a Snapdragon 845 processor and a dual-camera (12MP + 12MP).
