Samsung has released its first software update for the Galaxy Note 9.
The release itself bundles the option to switch between either recording 0.2-seconds of Super Slow-Mo footage at 960 frames per second or 0.4-seconds at 480 frames per second while shooting in the feature’s Manual mode, according to SamMobile.
Before the update started making the rounds on August 17, the subset of influencers and media using the Note 9 had to shoot in Auto if they wanted to capture a scene at 960 frames per second – Manual was restricted to just 480 frames per second.

The upgrade also bundles all of the changes included in this month’s Security Maintenance Release, designed to plug a hole in dozens of vulnerabilities in both the Android OS and Samsung’s own Experience software, which is based on Android.
Customers will need to install the software update on their handset when it arrives on August 24.
