Or so we hear...
As if we haven’t already had enough of netbooks, Fujitsu Siemens seems to have decided it’s time to jump on the bandwagon, too. According to IDG news, via IT World, Fujitsu has confirmed it will be showing off the system at IFA, a little under a fortnight away.
The mini Amilo system is, frankly, a poorly kept secret, having already been detailed in video form on YouTube (as seen above). We also know, from the same ‘source’ that the machine will feature clip-on changeable covers of differing colours. Hardly a stand-out differentiator, but at least Fujitsu is doing something differently to its competition.
Specs-wise things aren’t very clear, but the smart money will guess there’s an Atom CPU, half or a gigabyte of RAM, and either solid state storage or an 80GB hard drive – just like every other netbook so far. Nothing particularly exciting, then, but we’re never ones to complain about getting more choice.
