Free Kickstarter Edition Oculus Rift for all early adopters
Oculus VR is gifting a free Kickstarter Edition Oculus Rift for all the early adopters.
Ahead of the official Oculus Rift pre-orders, which go live tomorrow January 6, Palmer Luckey and co have one more surprise announcement.
For anyone who pledged for a Rift development kit, Oculus VR is sending you a free Kickstarter Edition Oculus Rift.
And, just like anyone who pre-orders the consumer edition, these Kickstarter Editions come bundled with a copy of Lucky’s Tale and EVE: Valkyrie.
“Just over three years ago we launched a Kickstarter to create the first Oculus Rift Development Kit,” explained Oculus Founder Palmer Luckey. “The goal of the Kickstarter was to create great virtual reality; to give developers the tools that they needed to start experimenting with VR.”
“You guys were the earliest believers. We can’t wait to see what you think,” said Nate Mitchell, VP of Product at Oculus VR.

Early Kickstarter backers will be emailed a survey from Oculus before February 1, 2016. You’ll need to fill this out and provide a shipping address that’s located in one of the 20 countries that the Oculus Rift is launching in.
Anyone who lives outside these countries, there is an alternative that will be detailed within the form.
