Fossil Q Founder Android Wear smartwatch out today
The Fossil Q Founder fashion-focused Android Wear smartwatch is hitting shops today, it’s been confirmed.
American watch maker Fossil has been extremely active of late. Earlier in the month it announced the purchase of fitness wearables company Misfit.
Prior to that, in October, the company announced the Fossil Q smartwatch range. Now the first example is ready for release.
Fossil has issued a statement revealing that the Fossil Q Founder will be on sale November 25, in select Fossil shops and online, from $275 / £279.
Like the recently announced Tag Heuer Connected Watch, the Fossil Q Founder combines Android Wear smarts with a classic watch design. It’s powered by an Intel Atom CPU, which drives all the things you’d expect from a standard Android Wear watch.
The Fossil Q Founder can provide notifications from your smartphone (Android or iOS), track your fitness activities, accept voice inputs, and run a growing number of Android Wear apps through its touchscreen display.

Fossil has provided its own selection of custom watch faces, and Q Curiosity is a feature that prompts you to break from your daily routines and try something new.
As you’d expect from such a hybrid of old and new watch technologies, the Fossil Q Founder comes supported by a range of optional straps in a variety of materials, from dainty stainless steel bracelets to chunky leather straps.
Each Fossil Q Founder also comes with a wireless charging base.
