Fortnite is already making millions on mobile as it tops the iOS charts

Epic Games’ Fortnite Battle Royale has already amassed over $15 million in revenue since launching on iOS, according to Sensor Tower.
The global hit may have only launched three weeks ago but its success from consoles and PC is already translating over to mobile platforms.
Fortnite is a free-to-play application so all of this revenue has come from in-game purchases associated with cosmetics and the seasonal Battle Pass.
At the time of writing, Fortnite is the highest grossing application on iOS, having overtaken mobile titans such as Clash Royale and Candy Crush Saga.

Epic Games’ Battle Royale title has reached over 11 million downloads since coming to mobile, a huge number considering it’s yet to launch on Android devices.
Inspired by the likes of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Fortnite Battle Royale drops 100 players onto a map as they’re forced to survive in a slowly shrinking playing field.
Things are made a little more interesting as everyone is forced to gather loot and make use of the crafting system to emerge victorious.
Part of the appeal of Fortnite on mobile is the ability to carry over in-game progress to other platforms through your Epic Games account.
This means all your experience, cosmetics and other goodies will be available in their entirety so long as both platforms share a user ID.
