Many Fitbit wristbands are currently performing in starring roles as the Ghost of Christmas Past, gathering dust in old drawers, along with our lofty festive fitness goals.
However, if you’re looking for a little tech to reprise your motivation, the Fitbit Ionic smartwatch is a tempting upgrade on the wristbands.
We saw some hefty discounts on the 2017 smartwatch during Black Friday and now Amazon UK is matching that best-ever price.
You can grab the Fitbit Ionic in three colours (Blue-Grey/White, Charcoal/Smoke Grey and our favourite Slate Blue/Burnt Orange) for just £249.99.
That’s £50 off the admittedly-ambuitious asking price of £299.99
The smartwatch features powerful GPS/GLONASS for accurate workout tracking, a built-in continuous heart-rate monitor and a standalone music player for phone-free running with Bluetooth headphones.
Unlike most smartwatches, it’ll also provide more than four days of battery life without sacrificing a colour screen.
Smartwatch functionality may be lacking compared to a device like the Apple Watch, but Fitbit’s activity tracking smarts are beyond reproach.
Amazon says it won’t be able to deliver the smartwatch in time for Christmas, but it should arrive in plenty of time to get January started on the right foot (or the left one? Depends on how you run).
