Final Fantasy 7 Remake gameplay shown off at Playstation Experience
The first gameplay footage of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake has been shown at Playstation Experience.
Sony managed to kick off their Playstation Experience Keynote with a bang; unveiling the very first gameplay footage of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
The trailers features a mixture of CGI cutscenes and gameplay footage, showing off the new character designs, battle system and environments.
Fans of the original will immediately recognise the iconic train sequence, Sector 7 Slums and the Sector 1 Mako Reactor from the beginning of the game.

The new battle system immediately seems reminiscent of Final Fantasy 15 and the Kingdom Hearts series.
It seems the remake’s battle system will be real-time and action based, as opposed to the turn-based mechanics of the 1997 original.
This is the first of many “dramatic changes” to come in the upcoming remake, which may displease some fans hoping for a 100% accurate recreation.
Game Director Tetsuya Nomura has said he wants the remake to have a “fresh-feel,” but will not change any major elements fans have a “large attachment” to.

Sony also announced the original Final Fantasy 7 is now available for download on PS4.
This particular release is a port of the PC version, and includes support for trophies, remote play and cloud saves.
If you buy it now, you will receive a free dynamic theme for PS4, featuring custom sound effects and background music.
