Final Fantasy 15 and Wolfenstein: Youngblood are coming to Game Pass this week

Microsoft has announced that Final Fantasy 15 and Wolfenstein: Youngblood are coming to Xbox Game Pass later this week.

It was announced back in 2019 that an avalanche of Final Fantasy titles would be hitting the surface throughout this year, starting with the critically acclaimed 15th instalment on February 6th across consoles and PC.

First launching for consoles back in 2016, Final Fantasy 15 has changed so much with frequent updates and downloadable expansions that transformed the narrative and gameplay mechanics. It’s in a good place right now, even if at times it still underwhelms.

“For all its flaws – the dodgy camera, the lack of dungeon save points, the magic system, the bitty, oddly-structured plot – Final Fantasy 15 is the best single-player Final Fantasy in a decade,” reads Stuart Andrews’ original review.

It’s more than worth checking out for the price of a Game Pass subscription. As is Wolfenstein: Youngblood, the latest entry in MachineGames’ excellent shooter franchise. Earning 4/5 in our review, we praised its exciting co-op campaign and improved gunplay.

“The usual Wolfenstein brilliance is here, and MachineGames have shown they’ve got a great handle on splattering fascists. They should be commended for being bold enough to take big risks here, and several of those risks have paid off, while those that haven’t only served to make the game a great deal weirder,” reads our verdict.

Xbox Game Pass has honestly transformed how we approach gaming on Microsoft platforms, offering players a robust selection of games for a monthly subscription fee. If you own an Xbox or even frequently game on PC, becoming a member for such a small price is a no-brainer, and it will carry over the Xbox Series X as well.
