FIFA 18 to receive official World Cup mode in free update

Electronic Arts has announced a World Cup 2018 update coming to FIFA 18 alongside the highly-anticipated sporting event.

The upcoming expansion will be available as a free download across PS4 and Xbox One from May 29 for FIFA 18 owners, coming a couple weeks ahead of the competition itself.

It will include FIFA World Cup, FIFA World Cup Kick-off, Custom FIFA World Cup Tournaments and FIFA World Cup Ultimate Team.

Players can participate as authentic teams from the FIFA 18 World Cup including official kits, likenesses and more of their favourite teams and players. Of course, the hosting country of Russia will also be represented.
