FIFA 15 celebrates fourth week at top of gaming chart
FIFA 15 is celebrating its fourth week at the top of the UK All Format Gaming Chart, despite yet another week of strong new releases.
Just like FIFA 13 did back in 2012, FIFA 15 has remained in first place in the UK All Format Chart for four consecutive weeks from launch.
The EA Sports title managed to fend off competition from new launches this week, even though it saw a 35 per cent drop in sales.
The latest survival horror title, The Evil Within, entered the chart at number 2, not quite managing to knock FIFA 15 from its pole position.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is another new entry this week. Despite it being only available on last gen Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles, it managed to successfully launch at number 3 – probably due to its immensely fun gameplay.
Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor is down to fourth place this week, with Forza Horizon 2 in fifth. Both games have dropped one place from last week’s positioning.
Alien: Isolation is now in sixth place, down four places from last week due to a 70 per cent drop in sales. It managed to just stay ahead of Destiny though, which is at number seven.
Probably due to the server issues the game is currently still dealing with, DriveClub dropped from fifth to eighth place in the charts this week.
Minecraft: PlayStation Edition rose a place from tenth to ninth, thanks to its launch on PS Vita with a special PS3 cross-buy offer.
Rounding off the top ten is another new entry into the UK All Format Gaming Chart, F1 2014.
