Fallout 4 release date expected this year, according to retailers

The Fallout 4 release date should fall sometime before the end of the year, according to multiple retailers.

A variety of retailers have suggested that Fallout 4, the long-awaited sequel to 2008’s Fallout 3, will arrive this year.

Although Bethesda hasn’t yet officially confirmed the Fallout 4 release date, having only announced the game yesterday afternoon, it hasn’t stopped retailers from giving us a few pretty strong hints.

Firstly, Bethesda’s own online store originally listed the Fallout 4 release date for TBA 2015, but it has now been changed for a more general TBA.

The US arms of Amazon and GameStop both have the Fallout 4 release down for December 31, but although this is evidently a placeholder, it still suggests the game will launch this side of New Year’s Day.

Another retailer, EB Games in Australia, has sent out promotional material that you can see below clearly listing that Fallout 4 is “coming 2015” – as spotted by NeoGAF users.

GAME here in the UK has also listed a TBC 2015 release date for Fallout 4.

Bethesda left around a year between the announcement of Fallout 3 and its eventual release. But hopefully we won’t have to wait until June next year to get our hands on Fallout 4.

Bethesda confirmed Fallout 4 via its own official website yesterday, including the game’s first ever trailer.

The game is seemingly set in Boston, Massachusetts in the US and features another canine companion.
