Fallout 4 official mod support to hit PC in April

Bethesda has confirmed that official mod support for Fallout 4 will be coming to PC in April with consoles to follow in the summer.

Fallout 4 mod support has been teased ever since the game’s reveal at E3 2015, and it seems the tools are finally on the way.

Director Todd Howard revealed in a recent interview with Game Informer that PC mod support will be introduced alongside the launch of Fallout 4’s Automatron DLC.

“We want to get it up on PC and have it work,” said Howard. “It’ll probably be a good month before it hits Xbox One, and another month for PlayStation 4.”

It is still unclear how mod support will work on PS4 and Xbox One, or if it will be up to scratch with the PC version of Fallout 4.

Todd Howard also talked about the game’s first DLC, Automatron, which is set to launch in the coming months.

“The first one, Automatron, has a little quest line and this Pokemon-esque ‘kill robots, get their parts, build your own’ [gameplay],” Howard said. “The Wasteland Workshop DLC is obviously for Workshop people. We wanted it to scratch that itch of ‘Can I build my own Thunderdome?’”

Bethesda has announced three waves of Fallout 4 DLC, all of which will be released throughout 2016 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The Season Pass price will also be increasing from £24.99 to £39.99 on March 1, so grab it while you can.
