Fallout 4 meets Lord of the Rings in this crazy new video
A talented PC player has a recreated the battle of Helm’s Deep from The Lord of the Rings in the world of Fallout 4.
Fallout 4 is awesome. The Lord of the Rings is awesome. So, mashing the two together can only be a good thing, right?
Youtuber Cosmic Contrarian certainly thought so, who went ahead and recreated the iconic battle of Helm’s Deep in Fallout 4’s Boston Wasteland.
Unfortunately, the skirmish doesn’t feature any orcs or iconic characters from Tolkien’s franchise, but it does have bunch of Minutemen and Super Mutants.

The battle pits the Brotherhood of Steel and Minutemen factions against an army of terrifying Super Mutants.
Cosmic Contrarian has even recreated Helm’s Deep using the game’s building system, and his depiction is surprisingly faithful to the source material.
The epic 15 minute video is well worth watching, mostly to appreciate how much effort and ingenuity went into the construction of Helm’s Deep.

Cosmic Contrarian is also responsible for a number of other Fallout 4 videos, such as a battle between 30,000 deathclaws and 3000 super mutant behemoths.
The insane battle even caught the attention of Fallout developer Bethesda, who linked to the video on its Twitter account.
Alongside the link, the developer quoted Theoden’s famous line, “It is said that his settlement has never fallen to assault.”
