Following its debut in America just over a month ago, Facebook has rolled out its App Center globally, giving developers to opportunity to tap into the full 901 million users that use the site every month.
The initial global launch is for predominately English speaking countries but a full worldwide, multilanguage launch will follow in the coming weeks.
Joining the US is the UK, Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, new Zealand and South Africa, while Brazil, France, Germany, Russia, Spain, Taiwan and Turkey will be arriving soon.
To ensure the App Center is well stocked for launch in these foreign language stores Facebook is, until July 13th, fast-tracking any submissions for translated versions of apps. Meanwhile developers can also take advantage of a localisation tab on the App Dashboard, which makes it easy to add different languages to their app-detail pages.
Facebook App Center provides a one-stop solution for users to find social-apps that hook into the Facebook infrastructure. There are both free and paid-for apps, with in-app purchases enabled too, while the range of apps includes everything from serious productivity tools to silly games.
