Exploding kittens coming to iPhone and iPad
The biggest video game Kickstarter campaign, Exploding Kittens, is coming to iPhone and iPad next week.
A new version of Exploding Kittens, a table card game that is still the biggest game in Kickstarter history when it comes to money raised and backers gained, is coming to iOS on January 21 – that’s this Thursday.
The game will launch for £1.79 and will be an evolution of the original game when it lands on the App Store.
Exploding Kittens’ iOS version was developed by Substantial in collaboration with The Oatmeal’s Matthew Inman – also partly responsible for the tabletop version”.
Apparently the iOS app will “not just replicate the original game, but evolve and improve it for old and new fans alike.”

Exploding Kittens’ basic premise is to take turns drawing cards until one player picks up an exploding kitten card and loses the game.
However, if said player is holding a Defuse card, they can defuse the kitten bomb with actions like a belly rub, or laser pointers or even sandwiches comprised of catnip.
The game was actually conceived by Xbox veterans Elan Lee and Shane Small, along with Inman of course.
There’s no word on Android or Windows versions of Exploding Kittens as yet.
