Evesham Launches ‘Extreme’ Gaming Notebook

Fancy a bit of gaming on the go? Take a look here then.

If you liked the look of the Evesham Zieo NX600-HD when Evesham announced it back in July then rejoice, for you can now get your mitts on the Zieo NX600-HDX. Its party piece is the use of an X7900 processor from Intel, currently the top of the line in mobile chips, along with high-end components and Vista Ultimate as standard.

Internally you’ll find, as mentioned, the 2.8GHz Intel X7900 CPU, a 512MB 8700M GT from nVidia and 4GB of RAM, though you’ll only see about 3GB of this on a 32-bit OS. Elsewhere the same Draft-N wireless as on the original NX600-HD is present along with a 17in, 1,920 x 1,200 display, with battery life quoted around the two hour mark.

Of course we’ve now seen the same chassis pop up with other manufacturers, we even reviewed the Rock Xtreme X770, so there’s no particularly compelling reason to go with Evesham per se. A fully decked out system from said company will set you back around £1900 so ultimately you’ll want to shop around for the best price you can get on the configuration you want, or maybe go by looks if you’re the shallow type.
