The Epson AcuLaser C3000 is aimed at small businesses, and offers 24ppm output in both monochrome and colour.
Epson has made an addition to its line-up of colour laser printers. The Epson AcuLaser C3000 is aimed specifically at business users who can take advantage of its ability to output high volumes thanks to a print speed of 24 pages per minute (ppm) in both colour and monochrome.
Running costs are on the low side and according to Epson sit at less than 1p per page for black text, which is lower than some black only printers. The great advantage is that the option of full colour is available for producing high impact presentations and brochures.
A duplex unit is included as standard, so users can print even more efficiently by using both sides of the paper. Paper input is 600 sheets as standard with optional high capacity trays taking this up to 1,600 sheets. Paper weights accepted range from standard plain paper, up to card weighing 216g per metres square.
The C3000 print engine has native resolution of 600 x 600 but Epson claims 2,400dpi quality thanks to its AcuLaser Color 2400 Resolution Improvement Technology (RIT). Image quality is also enhanced by Epson’s new AcuBrite toner, which features small particles designed to enhance detail.
The printer is powered by a 133MHz processor and ships with 64MB of memory. This can be increased to a maximum of 576MB. A one-year warranty is included as standard, and the C3000 has an RRP of £780 including VAT. Another model, the C3000N, featuring an integrated 10/100Base TX Ethernet port is also available and costs £869.
