EcoQube Air is a mini greenhouse for your desk

Plants are a great way to get rid of nasty indoor air pollutants. And if you’d like a self-contained way of storing them, look no further than the EcoQube Air.
It’s essentially a greenhouse that’s small enough to fit on your desk.
Built-in LED lights provide the perfect spectrum of colours for optimal plant growth. And it means you don’t need to place it in direct sunlight, so you can have it where you are, rather than where the window is.
Because it’s covered and insulated, it provides the optimal humidity and warmth for plants to grow. It uses soilless hydroponics that not only means it’s less messy than soil, it also requires less maintenance – just add water once a month, and the plants absorb as much of it and the nutrients as they need. It uses 90 per cent less water than more frequent watering, and helps the plants grow faster.
The enhanced airflow system gets rid of sterile and dirty indoor air, fights odours and acts as an air humidifier. It circulates the air using a silent fan, so you won’t even know it’s working.

It’s passed its funding goal and still has almost two months to go. Sadly the early birds have gone. It’ll ship in March 2017.
