Electronic Arts has announced it is bringing the Xbox One-based EA Access subscription service to PC gamers.
The monthly platform, which will go by the name Origin Access on the desktop platform, will offer all of the same benefits of the console equivalent.
For £3.99/$4.99 a month, gamers will receive a period pre-release access to EA’s flagship titles, while some older games will be available to play free of charge.
There are 15 games within ‘The Vault’ so far, with EA planning to add more from the back catalogue in due course.
Games playable now include: Battlefield 4, Dragon Age Inquisition, Battlefield Hardline, Battlefield 3, SimCity, FIFA 15, Plans vs Zombies Garden Warfare, Need for Speed Rivals, Dead Space 3, Dragon Age 2, Dead Space 2 and Dragon Age Origins – Ultimate Edition.
Rounding out the line up are the original Dead Space, The Sims 3 and This War of Mine.

Just like on the console, Access members will receive 10 per cent discounts on EA game purchases, as well as money off in-app purchases and third party games.
The launch of this latest subscription service comes as the major gaming giants continue to consider the merits of the Netflix model.
As well as EA Access, Sony is making a play via the PlayStation Now service, which offers subscription access to hundreds of PS3 games.
