Dyson has bolstered its home kit range with the Pure Cool Link, an app-connected air purifier that promises to make the air in your home cleaner than ever.
It’s the first Dyson product to come with an app for monitoring its use from wherever you are. Design-wise, it looks just like Dyson’s range of fans. And like its fans, it comes in a desktop and a tower version.
So why do you need it? Our homes might be built better than ever, but this actually makes for worse air quality – excellent insulation and double glazing makes for a warm, damp and stagnant environment, which is the ideal breeding ground for all kinds of mould and fungus.
The Pure Cool Link can help.
This filter costs £50 and should be replaced every 12 months.
The app lets you control all aspects of the Pure Cool, and it will act as the main app for all future smart Dyson products.

The tower model is more expensive, at £450, while the desktop model will set you back £350. Both have Quiet Mark accreditation for low noise, and a night-time mode that means they work using their quietest settings while the LED display is dimmed.
They’re on sale now.
Dyson is also rumoured to be working on an electric car. We’ll have to wait and see if it proves a match for the Tesla Model 3.
