Push for pizza: Domino’s reveals ‘Easy Order’ pizza button

Ordering pizzas is an activity fraught with guilt. God forbid someone made the process easier…

Domino’s has invented a physical button that lets you order pizza with a single push.

The device – which could easily feature in a dystopian novel about obesity – is the easiest way to order pizza from the fast food chain to date.

It’s called the ‘Limited Edition Easy Button’, and comes packaged in a tiny pizza box.

The button itself is powered by tech start-up FLIC, and links to your Domino’s account via the app.

All you need to do is save your favourite pizza to your account – as well as payment and delivery details – and voila: pizza at a push.

“The Domino’s app has been downloaded over 10 million times and 75% of our orders are now online,” says Simon Wallis, Sales & Marketing Director at Domino’s. “We also know that our customers love innovation, which further improves the ease of ordering such as our Pizza Tracker.”

Wallis adds: “With this in mind we challenged our tech wizards to go a step further and create the one-stop Easy Order.”

Right, how do you get your hands on one? Unfortunately, the buttons won’t be available for sale – that’s probably for the best.

Instead, Domino’s will be gifting the buttons to fans of the brand, courtesy of a competition on social media next month.

And for those who don’t manage to bag a button, Domino’s has added a one-step order button on its app and website, which launches today.
