The Mandalorian gets its long-awaited UK release on March 24 − but it won’t be every episode

Disney Plus customers based in the UK will not be able to binge-watch every episode of The Mandalorian when the streaming platform launches here on March 24.
The Mandalorian is, of course, Disney Plus’ flagship title, and its launch coincided with that of Disney’s streaming service, which went live in the US, Canada and the Netherlands on November 12, before launching in Australia and New Zealand a week later.
The eighth and final episode of The Mandalorian series one came out on December 27, yet for fans based in the UK, Disney looks set to treat the show as if it’s a brand spanking new release.

In a thread on Twitter, Disney Plus has said that episodes of The Mandalorian “will start to roll out from March 24th” on the UK version of Disney Plus.
It isn’t clear if Disney plans to drop a single episode each week (if this is the case, episode eight will land on May 12!), but it looks certain that you won’t be able to binge-watch the entire series on day one.
That’s a bit of a shame, since UK-based Star Wars fans are already having to wait more than four months longer for the blockbuster series than fans based in the US. Well, UK-based Star Wars fans who opted against pirating the show.
Disney has also confirmed that not all of Disney Plus’ new content will premiere at the same time around the world. It’s likely that the US market will get preferential treatment.
