At this point, there’s very little mystery surrounding the iPhone 7, with the leaks hitting an all time high ahead of Apple’s official launch.
But there’s always something left to leak, as a new image purportedly showing the handset’s camera module proves.
The photo comes via French site Nowhereelse and seemingly shows the iPhone 7 camera module alongside those of the phone’s predecessors.
Perhaps most notably, the shot seems to suggest Apple will be bringing optical image stabilisation (OIS) to the 4.7-inch handset
The iPhone 7 component includes four cut-outs which surround the lens itself and hold the necessary equipment that should allow for OIS by letting the lens float slightly.

This leads to much clearer, and less blurry images as the phone can compensate for the natural movement of the user’s hand when holding the phone.
It seems this time around, then, the feature will finally make it to the standard model, as well as the Plus version – which makes sense considering recent rumours of a dual lens setup on the larger model.

If the two-lens camera does appear on the iPhone 7 Plus, it would leave Apple free to bring OIS to the 4.7-inch model without encroaching on the superiority of the Plus.
The company is expected to make only modest updates to its iPhone range this year, ahead of a larger overhaul with the iPhone 8 in 2017.
September 7 has been touted as the date we’ll finally see an official launch, but this remains unconfirmed.
