Did Tesco just accidentally leak the Nintendo NX’s price?

Nintendo’s next console isn’t expected to launch until March 2017, but it seems Tesco just can’t contain its excitement.

The company posted an order page for the Nintendo NX on its Tesco Direct site (via NintendoLife), which contained pricing details and a launch date.

To be more specific, the page in question is titled ‘Nintendo NX WII U’ which is about as confusing as you could possibly get.

The console was originally listed with a £349.99 price tag, according to NintendoLife’s report, which is likely to be a place holder amount.

What’s more, the page itself listed the launch date of the console as 31/12/16 – a lot earlier than the March 2017 launch which Nintendo has previously confirmed.

Again, it’s likely the date is a placeholder, so take the news with due caution. There’s also been no word from Nintendo to confirm any of the information provided on the Tesco order page.

The NX is yet to be given an official reveal, but this latest development hints at a possible impending announcement.

While concrete details are sparse, the console is expected to come with detachable controllers and could make use of cartridges instead of discs.
