Apple has emailed its developer community offering app makers the chance to buy an Apple Watch Sport with guaranteed delivery by April 28.
Despite stock shortages, which has seen consumer delivery estimates pushed back as far as July for some models, Apple has been able to set aside limited quantities for those building tools for the smartwatch.
The 42mm Apple Sport watch with silver casing and the blue sport band is the only option available and devs can only order one.
Those interested developers much register with Apple’s Developer Portal by April 23 at 6pm UK time and those successful will be notified later that day. Selection will be at random, Apple says.

While overall stocks are in short supply, there has been no official word from Apple on how many watches have been sold since they went up for pre-order on April 10.
It is unclear whether the firm has done phenomenally well with sales or whether limited qualities were up for grabs in the first place. It looks like it may be a little from column A and a little form column B.
